[Comic Review] Dan the Unharmable #3-4

Dan the Unharmable #3“So…you think it’s stuffed?”

This series just keeps getting better and better.

Avatar’s Dan the Unharmable #3 continues on with our little road trip with Dan and family. More blood and disaster ensues.

In this issue, the plot continues to thicken as we find out some of his alleged children are already missing, having been kidnapped from their foster homes.

The art continues to be fantastic. The story continues to be of interest. I can’t help but love the main character. It’s a good thing he is so unharmable, as this almost-average Joe is a magnet for trouble and bad circumstance. Yet, somehow in the end, everything seems to come together.

If you don’t understand what I mean, just take a minute to examine his little leap of faith. Even he manages to turn lemons into lemonade.

Rating: 8/10 Gingered Digits.

Reasoning: Superb concept, great artwork, decent story.

Dan the Unharmable #4Dan the Unharmable #4 keeps rolling. This time, we’re finally able to catch of a glimpse of Louie, the one behind all of this.

In truth…I’m not sure which unnerved me more. The fact the head of this Onelouie cult is like the man next door (only, ya know, giving off more of that child molester vibe) or the fact he looks a LOT like Stephen King.

The story in this issue is definitely more plot than in those previous. We get some historical tidbits of Humpy and “Mom’s” past, as well as the connection to Louie and just how deep his cult actually runs with the locals.

As always, the art is superb. And, again, the story has more to sink your teeth into this time around.

Rating: 8/10 Gingered Digits.

Reasoning: Great artwork, great plot, great delivery, good story.
